Dear Sakai Families,
I hope you had a restful and joy-filled Thanksgiving. My family spent time together hiking and razor clamming. It was wonderful!
I am sure the next few weeks will feel very busy at Sakai as we finish out the calendar year. This time of year always seems to fly by at school. A quick reminder that we are going outside for recess every day. Students should have appropriate attire for the weather. On that note, now is also a good time to remind your child to check our Lost and Found. We have A LOT of found clothes and water bottles. We will be donating items left over break.
Last week I mentioned our PTO sponsored Family Learning Night on January 28th. This will focus on technology use and feature a discussion about the book, “Anxious Generation”. If you would like a discounted copy of that book, Eagle Harbor Books has them at 20% off for Sakai family members.
Have a wonderful week, Sakai!
Drew

We have several upcoming volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Thank you for considering signing up to help us out.

Game Room
As the weather gets colder and a little less outdoor-recess-y, we would like to provide a game room alternative during lunch recess! If you would like to volunteer in our game room, please click here.
Please remember that all volunteers who help in the classroom, on field trips, and other various activities must be cleared by the district: Volunteering with BISD. The approval process can take up to two weeks. Once approved, you are ready to volunteer and your approval is valid for two years.
Please bring your driver's license or id each time you sign into any school in the district.
