2016 Bond
We appreciate your support and trust. We look forward to serving our community by improving our facilities and learning environments for our students, staff, teachers and community.
On February 9, 2016, the Bainbridge Island community approved a bond measure to replace Blakely Elementary School and the Bainbridge High School 100 Building. We take this responsibility seriously and are committed to being careful stewards of your investment.
Blakely Elementary Replacement Project

| Feb. 2016 | Bainbridge Island voters approve the bond to replace Blakely Elementary. |
| Aug. 2016 | The Blakely Educational Specifications Report is completed. |
| Sept. 2019 | The new Blakely Elementary opens to students. |

BHS 100 Building Replacement Project
The February 2016 bond funded replacement of the Bainbridge High School 100 Building. In February 2019, the community approved a levy to supplement the project and complete its full scope:

| ✓ Remodel of the 200 Building commons into a theatre |
| ✓ Remodel of the 300 Building classrooms |
Project Timeline
| Feb. 2016 | Bainbridge Island voters approve the bond to replace the BHS 100 Building. |
| Sept. 2016 | A Steering Committee forms to select an architect and begin Educational Specifications. |
| 2017 | The committee and architect Mahlum explore concepts for CTE, performing arts and Special Education spaces. |
| 2018 | The committee reviews theatre options, site plans and cost comparisons, leading to the schematic design. |
| Feb. 2019 | Voters approve a levy to complete the full project scope, including the theatre and 300 Building remodels. |
| July 2019 | Construction documents reach 90% completion. |
