The Transportation Department is responsible for:
- Transporting students to and from school safely and efficiently
- Providing transportation for field trips and athletic competition
- Maintaining and servicing the buses
The goal of Bainbridge Island School District’s Transportation Department is to transport students to our schools safely and efficiently each day. The department also provides transportation for field trips and WIAA sports.
We maintain a fleet of 30 buses of varying sizes with a staff that consists of a transportation supervisor, one driver trainer, two router/dispatchers, two mechanics, and 20 regular/substitute drivers. Our buses cover 19 routes, including special education.
