Supporting Multilingual Learners
Specialized English language instruction is available to students in grades K–12 whose first language is not English. Our Multilingual Learner program helps students build English skills while succeeding in their classes.
How It Works

Enroll at your school
When a student who may be multilingual registers, school administrators and counselors let the Multilingual Learner teacher know.

Language screening
The Multilingual Learner teacher gives the WIDA English Language Proficiency screener to determine eligibility.

Personalized support
For eligible students, the Multilingual Learner teacher sets up a schedule to work with them and consults with their classroom teachers.
