Jog a thon

PTO Jog-A-Thon Fundraiser

The Jog-A-Thon is this Friday, October 17th, when our very own Blakely Bulldogs will blaze their way around the field to raise funds directly benefiting our students, teachers and staff!

Raising money for the Jog-A-Thon is simple: use our QR code or share this link: https://go.rallyup.com/blakely-jog-a-thon-2025 with friends and family and/or make a donation yourself.

We have raised $37,000 so far, which is 47% of our goal! Every donation counts.

Our goal is to raise $70,000! To meet our goal we need to raise an average of $250 per student. We hope to have 100% participation and every cent helps support our students.

Come cheer your student on! Here is the Jog-A-Thon schedule:

Attendance Matters

Attendance Matters

October Attendance Focus: Building Habits & Routines
This month we’re highlighting the importance of healthy routines that support regular attendance. Families play a key role in helping students arrive at school ready to learn.
💤 Sleep Matters
  • Children and teens need 8–10 hours of sleep each night.
  • A regular bedtime helps students wake up rested and focused.
🍳 Start the Day with Breakfast
  • Breakfast gives students the energy they need to learn.
  • Even something small — fruit, toast, or yogurt — makes a big difference.
⏰ Create a Morning Routine
  • Pack backpacks, lunches, and clothes the night before to reduce stress.
  • Consistent routines make mornings smoother for everyone.
🏫 Arrive On Time, Every Day
  • Showing up on time builds confidence and connection.
  • Missing just 2 days a month adds up to nearly a month of lost learning in a school year.
👉 Every day counts! When students come to school rested, prepared, and on time, they build strong habits for life.

Hearing and Vision

Hearing and Vision Screenings

It’s that time of year again!!! This year’s hearing and vision  screening is scheduled for Thursday & Friday October 23-24, 2025 . The screening pertains only to grades K-3. If you would like for me to test your 4th grader, feel free to contact me and I can add them to my list. The vision test consists of a “spot Vision Screener”, which tests both near and far vision. Hearing tests consists of routine audiometer screening.

You will be notified if the school health screening results indicate a health care provider follow-up is recommended. If you would prefer to have your child opt out of either the hearing and/or the vision screening, please contact the nurse, Marci Collins at 206-780-2074 or mcollins@bisd303.org.
