Message from the Principal

Greetings BHS Families! As we near the end of our second full week of school, students are finding their routines and it feels like we are “back” - that is a great feeling and we hope that the transition out of summer and back into the fall routines of school has felt smooth and comfortable for your student.

We had our first pep assembly this week and our gym was on fire with school spirit! One of my favorite moments was hearing how loud our students could cheer on the pickleball game being played between grade levels. How appropriate to play pickleball at a BHS assembly, right?

We are looking forward to welcoming many of you to our first home football game of the year on Friday evening. Football games are a wonderful community event. Please take a moment to review the stadium guidelines in this newsletter as an important reminder.

As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to us if we can support your family in any way!

Go Spartans!

Kristina Rodgers, BHS Principal

Changes to Chromebook Device Protection

We are excited to share that all students in grades 6–12 will receive brand-new Chromebooks for take-home use this school year! These updated devices replace the older models that were first issued back in 2021–2022. With this upgrade come a few important changes we want every student and family to understand:

Show Up and Show Out

BISD Attendance Campaign

TOGETHER, WE STRENGTHEN OUR BAINBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY!
One day, one student, one choice at a time.

LIKE MANY SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, BHS HAS SEEN A RISE IN CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM. WE’RE TAKING ACTION.

BISD is launching a campaign that encourages students to “Show Up and Show Out” in class, take pride in learning, and build positive, healthy habits together.

Bainbridge High School had a chronic absenteeism rate of 33.9% during the 2024/2025 school year.

Our goal is 90% of Bainbridge students will attend school 90% of school days

Home Game Guidelines & Tickets

As we are set to host our first home football game tomorrow, it is important to review our stadium expectations and policies that support ensuring a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all fans.

Football Game Day Guidelines for BHS Memorial Stadium:

  • Students in grades K-8 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. This is especially important for grades 5-8 students who will not be admitted to the game without an adult.
  • No re-entry once leaving the stadium. No exceptions.
  • No outside food or beverages for any spectator.
  • No student backpacks allowed in the stadium, even if they are clear.
  • No water bottles allowed, even if they are empty.
  • All bags are subject to search.

DIGITAL TICKETS AND PASSES FOR HOME FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL GAMES
