From the Principal

Dear Blakely Community,

Regular attendance and arriving on time each day are key ingredients in your child’s academic success. When students are on time and ready to learn, they start the day with important routines, classroom discussions, and valuable instructional time that helps set a positive tone.
Did you know?

  • Just 10 minutes late each day adds up to nearly 30 hours of missed instruction over the school year!
  • Students who miss even 2 days per month are considered chronically absent, which can impact reading and math skills.

We understand that mornings can be hectic and that illnesses happen. If your child needs support with attendance or if there are challenges at home affecting their school day, please reach out. We’re here to help!
Let’s work together to build strong habits and ensure every student has the best chance to thrive.

Regards,
Reese Ande

Class Placement

Classroom Placement 2025-2026 - Parent/Guardian Input Form

2025-2026 Class Placement
The time of year has come for us to begin next year's placement process. If you have information about your child that would be helpful for us in making classroom assignments, we would like to hear from you. Please know, this form is OPTIONAL.

Your input will be considered in the placement decision and shared with the new classroom teacher. There are many factors that impact placement decisions including balance of boys and girls, balance of students with specific learning needs, and class size.

Requests for individual teachers will not be accepted. However, input regarding your child's learning style, preferred learning environment, social context or other factors the school may not be familiar with can be helpful to the placement team.

Please use the google form at the link below to submit your information.

Input form must be submitted no later than FRIDAY, MAY 23RD

If you have any questions or need any help, please contact Amanda Keller at AKeller@bisd303.org

Health

From the Health Room

**IMPORTANT**   Please remember, if you were emailed a copy of your child’s 504/Health Care Plan, Asthma Action Plan or Severe Allergy and Anaphylaxis Plan for next year, please review, sign and return to the Health Room as soon as possible if you have not already done so. If it is not received by June 2nd, 2025, we will be unable to send them to your Pediatrician on your behalf and you will need to get it signed over the summer and returned to the Health Room prior to the start of school.

By Washington State law, if your child is in need of a 504/HCP w/emergency medications,  your child CAN NOT start school until the signed forms and medications are in the health room.
