This Week at BHS

Junior Parent Night: Wednesday, March 20th 7:00-8:30 PM (Rms. 328, 330 & 334)

Counselors will hold three 25 minute sessions that parents will rotate through. This night focuses on post high planning, specifically for students planning to attend a four-year school.

The 3 sessions will include:

  • "Getting Out"- What should your junior be doing right now to be prepared for applications in the fall? Also, SAT vs ACT and registration information for senior year.
  • "Getting In"-Outlines the four-year school application process for public and private schools, including resources to aide in the process.
  • "Getting Help"- Financial Aid, FAFSA, need-based aid versus merit-based aid and Scholarship Information

Future Footprint  Future Footprints

All students are invited to attend the March Future Footprint on Friday, March 22nd during your lunch period. Future Footprint is a career exploration speaker series hosted by the CTE Department with a new topic each month. Invited speakers will share information about their careers and answer students' questions. The topic for March is careers in arts, AV technology, and communications. Speakers coming to talk with students include: journalist, photojournalist, stage actor, color consultant, animation designer, film producer, and museum educator. Future Footprint will be held the BHS Library Reading Room during both 1st and 2nd lunch. Students are encouraged to bring their lunch to the session. The CTE Department will provide the cookies.

Link Crew Leader Applications Available NOW! Pick up an application from Ms. Leigh in room 236 or go to the Link Crew web page on the BHS website and fill out the google form. Applications due before March 29th at 3:30.


AP Payments, Schedule, & Misc. Info.

AP Test Registration closed on Wednesday, February 27th. Please make sure you have paid for AP exam(s) online or in person (via check payable to BHS). Only students who registered through Total Registration will receive an exam. Check out the 2019 AP Schedule here and make sure you read and understand the AP Bulletin for Students and Parents.
