Attendance Matters - You are missed when absent!
Start the school year off right --- and keep it up throughout the year with good attendance!
Chronic absence is classified as missing 10% of school days (or approximately two days a month) due to absence for any reason—excused or unexcused —and can lead to students having difficulty learning to read by the third grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school.
If your student struggles with school attendance, please get in touch with your child’s school counselor or principal. They are here to help and are experts at mitigating the underlying reasons why your child doesn’t want to attend. They will help you and your student develop a plan to put your child on a successful path.
