Long-Range Strategic Facilities Planning Committee 
The Facilities Plan is a living document that requires periodic updates and revision. The plan aims to provide an informed and realistic framework for the school board to utilize when making decisions regarding future bond and levy requests. These potential bonds and levies provide the primary funding for building replacement, remodels/renovations, and modernizations that complement the standard operating budget through the general fund and ensure a 21st-century learning environment and equitable education experience are accessible in all BISD schools. 

Starting in October, this committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 5-7:30 p.m.

Sustainable Action Plan Committee 
There are two primary objectives of this committee: (1) to provide a framework for the development of a BISD-specific "Climate Action Plan" that compliments and supports other local sustainability plans and efforts (the City of Bainbridge Island̓s Climate Action Plan & Sustainable Transportation Plan).  (2) to provide a framework for district staff and the school board to use in the consideration of sustainability policy work and an implementation plan for classroom/curriculum connections in the future. 

Starting in October, this committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 5-7:30 p.m.

Fall 2023 BISD Policy Work Group
Are you interested in learning about the policies and procedures that guide our district work? We are forming a Fall 2023 Work Group to focus on three new district policies and would like parent/guardian input. 

Meetings will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on Oct.3, Oct. 24 and Nov. 7.

2023-24 BISD Wellness Committee
Seeking parent/guardian and community input! Please consider joining the BISD Wellness Committee to examine district practices and ensure district compliance with Policy and Procedure 6700: Nutrition, Health and Physical Fitness. 

Meetings will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, Nov. 29 and Jan. 17.
