In the Spring of 2021, Washington's Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) announced the delay of federally mandated Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) from spring 2021 to fall 2021.
The fall testing dates are just around the corner so please plan accordingly.
Things to Know:
Testing will happen for grades 4th-11th except for 10th graders who will test in the spring
The fall tests are an extension of the 2020–21 school year, and thus students will be taking tests corresponding to their grade level in the 2020–21 school year. For example, a student who is a 7th grader in the 2021–22 school year would take a 6th-grade test in fall 2021.
Individual student results from the SBA will be available within five days of a student completing testing allowing for targeted academic intervention, if necessary.
BHS & EHHS Oct. 21 & 22 (both high schools will have an adjusted schedule these days. Look for additional information from the schools)
