The future looks bright for BHS junior Grant Shinohara!

Grant won the Ricoh Sustainable Development Award for his project: The Future of Solar - The Utilization of Three-Dimensional Space and Carbon Allotropes applied to Photovoltaic Energy Generation. The award was presented to the student whose research has demonstrated the Principles and Technical Innovations that offer the greatest potential for Sustainable Development.

His design for solar cells was among more than 600 presenters at the 62nd Annual Washington State Science and Engineering Fair.
