Come learn about the importance of our school board members and the role they play in our district at our Informational Meeting for Interested Candidates:

WHEN: Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 5:15 p.m., followed by a regular school board meeting at 5:45 p.m. Interested candidates are encouraged to stay for the meeting and observe. 

WHERE: District Board Room, located at 9530 NE High School Road. Access to the boardroom is via the lower parking lot (also known as the "pit") which is between Bainbridge High School and Commodore Options.

INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR SCHOOL BOARD?: Click here to find your district. Candidates need to file with the Kitsap County Elections Division between May 13-17, 2019 in order to run in the November election. 

Three current school board members' terms expire this year: 

  • Lynn Smith (District 1)
  • Mev Hoberg (District 3)
  • Christina Hulet (District 4)

In addition to the above positions, BISD will be filling the District 5 vacancy due to Sheila Jakubik's resignation. BISD will appoint an individual to serve out the remainder of the term, which is set to expire in December 2021.
