Odyssey 7/8 Students Place in National Writing Competition.
Bravo! Odyssey 7/8 students participated in Yes! Magazine's national student writing competition by responding to the prompt: Think about someone in your school or community who is vulnerable and may need protection or support. This person may be a neighbor or a classmate—it may even be you. Are you willing and brave enough to stand up against injustice? Describe what you would do, and how your actions might make a difference.
Ruby Wynne-Jones (left) won the middle school division, Lelia Dugan (middle) was a semi-finalist in the Powerful Voices category and Lily Lashmet (right) was a Literary Gem. They are pictured with Liz Finin, 7/8 Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Click the link to read the winning works! http://www.yesmagazine.org/…/fall-2017-student-writing-co…/…
