Salmon Oragami!

bulletin board  Mrs. C, one of our fabulous library volunteers, and her daughter Olivia collaborated on this very cool bulletin board for our front hall.  It features some intricate salmon oragami fish swimming upstream! You might be wondering how you can make your own  oragami salmon.  We have a video for that.

We are really excited about our salmon! Most of the eggs have hatched now and are alevin. What you see is a carpet of little tails trying to squeeze into the rocks in the bottom of the tank. This is normal salmon behavior. They like to try to burrow themselves into their salmon nest, which is called a redd. Come by and see them. You will not want to miss this early stage in their salmon development.
