BHS Athletics--Temporary close to outside spectators

With the current uptick in positive COVID cases in our community right now, we are making the move to temporarily close our athletic events to outside spectators. No BHS students or visiting spectators will be allowed. The exception to this current policy will be that each Bainbridge participating athlete can have two family members attend. Those family members will need to be masked and spaced appropriately in the gym. We will reevaluate this policy weekly as we monitor guidance from our league and the DOH.

  • Return to Learn Handbook

In preparation for bringing students to school, BISD has created a Return to Learn Handbook with a high-level overview of the many ways BISD has modified operational practices to keep schools as safe as possible.

The handbook was developed using the guidance outlined in the Washington State Department of Health's K-12 COVID-19 Requirements for Summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 School Year, dated Oct. 27, 2021. BISD believes in following the science related to COVID safety protocols. We are confident in the recommendations from our Washington State and Kitsap County Health Departments, and we have incorporated their mandates and recommendations into our district's reopening plan.
