Dear Sakai Families,

Our yearbooks came in and it’s really fun to look back on pictures from the year. And, to see how much our students have grown since they took their school picture in the fall! Our broadcast team will reveal the cover winner on Tuesday’s broadcast and students will receive their copy that day. A huge thank you to Annie, Jen, and Andrew for their hard work in getting them together this year. They look amazing!

A few reminders for this week (it’s an odd one):

Tuesday: 6th-grade celebration with field trip to the Movies

                 5th-grade Field Day from 10:15 to 11:50

Wednesday: Juneteenth, no school

Thursday: Last day with a release at 11:55.

Families, thank you so much for your support and partnership this year . I hope you have a joyful summer that is filled with rest and family time. If you are returning to us in the fall, I look forward to seeing you at the Ice Cream Social. Look for further communication from me in mid-August. For families not returning, it has been an absolute honor being your students principal this year.

Mr. Crandall
I hope you have a wonderful week, Sakai!

Drew

ABC CHECK-IN

It's time to do the ABCs for all students returning to BISD for the 2024-25 school year!

Our Annual Back-to-school Check-in (ABC) process lets us know that your student(s) are returning to our schools for 2024-25 and allows parents/guardians to review annual information.

The ABCs must be completed* for all students attending BISD schools in 2024-25 — this includes both new and returning students.  Access the ABCs by logging into your  Family Access account. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete.

If you need assistance with the ABC process (such as translation, accessing technology, or other questions), please contact the  office manager  at your student's school.

*Class placement/class schedules will not be released in August until the ABCs are completed. But why delay? Go ahead and take care of it today!
