Welcome, Spartans!

    2017-18 Fall sports begin Wednesday, August 16 for football and Monday, August 21 for all other sports.  They include:  cross country, golf, girls soccer, girls swim/dive and volleyball.  In addition, the following community based Club sport* is available:  boys water polo.   Please follow the links to the left to find out more specific information on these opportunities, BHS will no longer collect paperwork nor physicals for community sponsored (non-WIAA sports)


    Use this Sports Registration link  or the one in the left menu to begin the process for all WIAA teams.  Physicals (good for two years) will still be collected and kept on file in the BHS office (see Ms. Bullock).  

    Physicals may not expire during your season.  If you get a new physical or are a first time athlete at BHS ( if you were an athlete at Woodward, you need to make sure a paper copy is on file at the BHS office prior to tryouts), please bring a copy to the office before August 16/21.  We would love to have everyone registered by August 11. Registration opens May 15, 2017.  Why not do it today?!!

    Payment of the participation fee ($250.00) and ASB card ($45.00) must be paid prior to the first contest or no later than September 15.  Payment for fall 2017 sports cannot be paid during the current 2016-17 school year.  All fees may be paid on-line or, if necessary, at the BHS accounting office (Ms. Spray). Club sports do not pay a participation fee to BHS.

    Athletes will not be allowed to tryout or practice on the first day if registration is not complete.

    *While club sports are recognized as opportunities for our students to engage in specific sports and activities, they are not overseen by the Bainbridge Island School District and are managed by outside independent organizations. As a result, club sports are not district directed and are not subject to the policies and procedures of BISD. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to research and evaluate the club sport(s) prior to enrolling students.

    Bainbridge Island School District does not sponsor or supervise club sports, and the district assumes no responsibility for club sports’ coaches, volunteers, transportation or any aspect of the club.  Questions related to clearance procedures for club sport volunteers should be directed to the organization directing the activity.  The Bainbridge Island School District shall be held harmless from any cause of action filed in any court or administrative tribunal arising out of allowing the club sports to be listed on the BISD website. This includes costs, attorney's fees, and judgments or awards.
