Our Introduction to Computer Science course gives students an understanding of the impact that computing has on our lives, reaching into every discipline they may choose to pursue. The AP Computer Science A course gives students the opportunity to receive college credit learning Java programming. Finally, our Consumer Math course is designed to prepare students for real life, teaching personal and business financing skills. Welcome Parents and Students!
This is my first year teaching at Bainbridge High School. Your students, however, may recognize me. I was the Building Tech Support person here at BHS last year. I am excited for the opportunity of working as an educator with the colleagues and students that I grew to love last year!
My background is over 30 years of software development. I have an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. All of my life I have been around family members involved in the education of young people. Last year, I completed the program to receive my CTE-Initial teaching certificate. The Career and Technical Education program has a path for people from industry to teach. I had an inspirational geometry teacher in high school who had retired from a successful engineering career in the Navy. I hope to emulate his life in beginning this new career...
