I am incredibly lucky to be a part of the Sakai staff.  This will be my fifth year at Sakai, and it's been terrific to be able to work with the students, families, and staff at this school.  It really is a family.
I have been so grateful to work in the education field and believe that working with students is where my heart is happiest.   I moved to Washington from Colorado in 2012.  I have taught multiple grades in the regular classroom and in special education.  I have been a college counselor working with middle and high school students, an assistant principal, and a principal.  I returned to teaching students with special needs when I moved to Washington.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends.  I enjoy anything sports-related, cooking, reading, knitting, and travelling.  I also have a furry family member at my house who provides me with limitless smiles and great stories.

I am looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year!
