Welcome to our Salmon at Sakai Program!

OUR PARTNERS
-
A big highlight of the Sakai year is the start of our salmon program. We receive chum salmon eggs from the Suquamish fish hatchery, raise them in a tank in front of our library and then release them into the stream behind our school before spring break. This year we are also continuing a partnership to improve the health of the Murden Cove watershed! We are grateful to Far Bank Enterprises, 3M, the Bainbridge Schools Foundation and IslandWood for joining us in this effort as well as our other partners!
