    Main Body: 3/16 inches thick
    Max length:  9 inches, Width: 3 inches.   Width at Axles is 1 1/2 inches.
    Gears:  motor gear: 1/2" diameter, 7/8" diameter, 1 1/4", 1/5/8"
    Solar Panel:  1/4" X 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
    Black wheels:  1 5/16"  Diameter
    Yellow Gear Wheels 1 3/4" Diameter
    Motor:  Depth:  1/2", motor shaft 1/16" diameter 1/2" length,

    Use the snipping tool to take a Top, side, Front and Back view of the car.  Add all 4 images to a Google Doc.  Check the sample layout to see how to arrange the images.   
     
    Engineering process  
     
    Sign into your frogrock account.  Make a copy of the Engineering journal and name it yourlastname_engineering journal.  Share the journal with Mr. Eaton (seaton@bisd303.org)
     
    Engineering Journal
       - In your engineering journal make the following entries for the solar car and then the maglev vehicle.
    • Name of the project
    • What is the problem you are trying to solve?
    • How does the maglev vehicle or solar car work?
    • What solutions did you come up with?
    • What issues did you face when building the project?
    • What revisions did you make?
    Dragster Requirements:
    Length of car:  8" - 10"
    Minimum width:  3/8"
    Minimum width at axle: 1 1/8"
    Minimum height: 3/8"
    Must have at least 1/8" wood around any hole.
    Launch hole:  3/8" Diameter x 3" Depth
    Axle holes: 1/8" Diameter
    Axle must be 1/4" from the base of the car
    Front axle must be at least 1 1/4" from the front of the piece of wood.

    Maglev requirements:
    • Length of car:  5 - 8 inches   or 12.7 - 20.32 cm
    • Width of vehicle:  2.5 inches  or 6.35 cm.
    • Propeller diameter:  3 inches or 7.62 cm.
    • Motor diameter:  1 inch or 2.54 cm
    • Motor length:  1 inch or 2.54 cm
    • Motor shaft:  1/8 inch x 1/4 inch or 3.175 mm x 6.35 mm
    • Magnet: 1/8" x 3/4" x 1"  or 3.175 mm x 19.05 mm x 25.04 mm
    You will be building a maglev vehicle designed to carry passengers (pennies) down a straight track.  You will gather data for 0 passengers, 25 passengers, and as many passengers as you can carry down the track in 60 seconds.
