Degrees and Certifications:
I'm so excited to be a part of Commodore Options School as a Learning Strategies Teacher at Eagle Harbor High School. My husband and I moved to Bainbridge Island in 1994 and we've now lived here longer than we have lived anywhere.
I was born and raised in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where I completed my bachelors degree in education. After graduation I taught 2 years in Wyoming while my husband finished graduate school. A new job for him moved us to Salt Lake City, Utah where I taught one year before a downsizing in the aerospace industry forced us to move again. A new job opportunity took us to Iowa where we lived and worked for 3 years. We loved Iowa, but the West was in our blood so when we got the opportunity to come to Washington we jumped on it. After arriving here I taught 9th grade Learning Strategies at Poulsbo Junior High for 3 years, and after my second son was born, in 1997, I chose to stay at home.
I'm thrilled to be teaching for my 3rd year at Eagle Harbor High and I look forward to getting to know all my students and their parents.
