• Hi fifth graders!
     
    I hope you're visiting my web page because you're in my class this coming school year.  I'm anxious to get back to Sakai and I can't wait to meet you!
     
    You'd probably like to know a little bit about me before the first day. I was born and raised on beautiful Bainbridge Island.  Currently, I live in Kingston with my family. My husband, Ben de Guzman, is the PE teacher at Sakai. You'll get to know him well.  We have a daughter, Averie, she's fifteen. She will be a sophomore at Bainbridge High School this year.  We got a new kitten this summer.  Her name is Sybil.  I'll share lots of pictures, I'm sure.  
     
    I'm thrilled to be part of a new teaching team.   This is our first year together as a three-person team and I'm looking forward to it.    I'll be teaching Math.  It's my favorite.   Ms. Rose will be returning to Sakai after teaching with me in the spring, and she will be your ELA teacher.  Lastly, Ms. Meyers will be joining Sakai as your Science and Social Studies teacher.
