  • Bainbridge Island School District conducts a review of curricular areas on a rotational basis.

    ** - Program improvement plans are developed on an annual basis by the appropriate advisory group (Special Education Program Council, Title I Parent Review, Gifted Education Advisory Committee, Multicultural Education Advisory Council, Option Programs Committees, District Technology Advisory Committee, Vocational Advisory Committee, Health Advisory Committee)

    EXPLANATION

    Curriculum Review (CR)

    1. Review entire curriculum area including materials used, curriculum objectives, requirements, time allocation, assessment
    2. Revise current program and adopt new materials.
    3. Budget substantial amount.

    Implementation Review (IR)

    1. Implement adopted curriculum.
    2. Focus on instruction and inservice.
    3. Evaluate implementation.
    4. Determine modification needs.
    5. Budget substantial amount.

    Midcycle Review (MR)

    1. Review existing program implementation.
    2. Determine needs for supplemental material, in-service, and program modification.
    3. Budget for program modification.
