Personal Finance is a course designed to help students manage their own future finances in a smart way. Real world topics will include income, money management, spending and credit, as well as saving and investing. Students will explore future careers, research prospective colleges, learn independent living strategies, design personal and household budgets; simulate use of checking and saving accounts demonstrate knowledge of finance, debt, and credit management; and evaluate and understand investment strategies in stocks, bonds and mutual funds will be practiced. Insurance and taxes will also be covered. This is a course important to all students interested in having a better control over their financial life.
