I have three amazing boys (and a dog, Londyn) that inspire me every day. My oldest son, Mark, is a sophomore at SDSU and my twins, Matthew and Nicholas, are sophomores in High School.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, running, yoga, reading, gardening and walking the beaches in search of sea critters and sea glass.
I believe that school is a place to feel safe, to feel nurtured and to feel cared about. It is a place to be present and mindful and to learn new things. School is a place to be kind, helpful and empathetic. Curiosity is of the utmost importance. Learning about math and science will empower us, but first we must be good human beings. This is a special age and Sakai is a special place. I love what I do and feel lucky to be a part of this amazing community.
This will be my 20th year of teaching.
