Civics

COURSE DESCRIPTION
After the tumultuous 2016 election most States, including Washington, passed legislation to require more rigorous Civics education, and this course is a result. This course discusses both a traditional understanding of how government functions in America, and the reality of how twenty-first century media and politics have changed our democracy. This course will provide students with effective skills and tools to participate actively and effectively in a democracy.
