I was born and raised on Bainbridge Island and graduated from BHS (where I was involved with the Diving and Water Polo teams). I then earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Redlands (in southern California) where I met my husband. I have experience as an SLP in both the medical and educational settings. I spent many years working with individuals following a stroke and brain injuries in a small rehabilitation hospital in San Bernardino, California. I gained several years experience working in diverse school districts in California and Washington over the past several years as well.
My dreams of returning to the Pacific Northwest became a reality in the summer of 2019, when my family and I were able to move back to Bainbridge Island. My husband and I have three boys (ages 12, 10, and 7) and we live on the north-end with our two Maine Coon cats. We enjoy camping, birdwatching, swimming, and hiking, especially exploring parts of beautiful Bainbridge Island.
