Parent volunteers are integral to the success of our program. Four hours a month is the suggested amount of time and there are many opportunities both during class hours and on evenings/weekends to volunteer. Some of the events during the school year include Day of the Dead, Heritage Lunch, a field trip to the Seattle Children’s Theater and an educational day at Fay Bainbridge Park. Additionally, there are many activities outside of the classroom for students and their families to get to know each other and be involved in local cultural events. These events are ongoing throughout the year and communicated via email and the El Velero parent Facebook page. Current families can click here to join the page.
