My name is Michele Muffoletto and I am thrilled to be part of the 4th Grade Team at Ordway! I was born and raised “down the bayou” in south Louisiana, and I am a proud Louisiana State University alumna (Geaux Tigers!). My professional background, although a little eclectic, has always had a common theme in education.
After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Albania, I returned to the United States with a renewed excitement for teaching. Before jumping into the profession, I volunteered for the Lunch Buddy Program at Ordway and worked as a lead teacher with Bricks 4 Kidz.
In 2015, I earned my Masters in Teaching through Antioch University in Seattle, and I was fortunate enough to complete my student teaching right here at Ordway! After graduation, I officially joined the Ordway team as a classroom paraeducator, then as a teacher with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in the El Velero Spanish Immersion Program.
When I’m not at school, you might find my family and I tending to our little farm, kayaking, hiking, or just sitting on the porch drinking coffee. I am thrilled to be in this profession at this time in my life, and I am grateful to be a part of the Ordway community.
