• Hi! My name is Meghan Berg and I am a kindergarten teacher at Blakely Elementary School. I love working with five and six year olds and look forward to teaching and learning from your kiddos!

I grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado and love spending time outdooors. I moved to Washington for college to attend Western Washington University where I majored in Environmental Education with a focus on Outdoor Education. After graduating, I worked as a paraeducator, teaching assistant and kayak guide before completing my Masters in Teaching degree at Seattle University. I was fortunate enough to do my student teaching in kindergarten at Blakely and now am so lucky to work at this amazing school!

I met my husband, a 3rd generation islander, at school in Bellingham and we were quickly drawn back to the island life. We have a daughter, Lucille, who will be turning one in October and I love raising a family in this wonderful community!

When I'm not teaching I love being outside, spending time in our garden with our chickens and our cat and adventuring around this beautiful state that we live in!
