Who We Are & What We Do

Capital Projects exists to oversee the building and renovation of projects funded by voter-approved bonds.  The Bainbridge Island community has demonstrated support of BISD projects by approving a $45M Bond in 2006, a $42M Bond in 2009 and $81.2M Bond in 2016.

As teaching methods evolve, buildings need to adapt and evolve with them. The Bainbridge Island School District is committed to creating and maintaining the best possible learning environment for all students in a fiscally responsible and progressively sustainable manner.  Our desire is to build schools that inspire the love of learning now and in the future.
