    About me:
    I am starting my 30th year teaching, my 25th at BHS. Along with the classes above, I teach or have taught accounting, entrepreneurship, and business communications.
     
    I enjoy sports, music, cooking & baking, being outside doing anything from working on my property, camping, hiking, being at the beach, etc. But a rainy day on the couch in pj's and a few good movies is always a good day. I like to adventure and try new things and always encourage everyone to take a chance. You might like it, and if you don't, then try something else.

    I'm looking forward to working with you as we navigate the 2023-24 school year. I will do everything I can to help my classes build a positive classroom community, create student learning opportunities, and promote fairness and equity.
     
    Things will go sideways, that is ok, it is just how we react in those times that will get us through. When that happens for you, take a deep breath, walk away from the computer/book/homework for a few moments, and know the world will still be spinning when you get back. We will work things out together. I am just an email away, do not be shy about communicating problems with school or other situations. My promise to you is to be open about when things are going sideways for me, so you know you are not alone.
     
    Students: Click on your class in the menu to the left to find the syllabus and Google Classroom codes. Our Google Classroom will be your go-to place for things to learn and assignments to do. Make sure you enter the code for the right class period. 
     
    Families: If you'd like to get a snapshot of what your child should be working on in my class, check out the posted week at a glance. For my classes, students will be given in-class time to work on assignments and projects, so homework should be minimal most of the time. For times when homework is needed to be done, personal finance, law and order, economics, and yearbook students will be fine with a Chromebook. However, in any of the Digital Design or Computer Graphics and Design classes, if you have access to a pc or mac it will be a bit easier to work at home, though a Chromebook will work. If a Chromebook is your only option, I will show you how to access the programs we use.
