Welcome to Our Team!
-
I received my teaching certificate in 1988 from Northwest University. I finished my Masters of Education from the University of Washington in 1994. GO HUSKIES!!! I have taught many subjects and grade levels but most of them have been at the 5th & 6th intermediate grades which I enjoy very much. During my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two sons, reading, writing, walking, playing Wii, watching sci-fi & other movies, and occasionally enjoy a baseball, football, or basketball game. I especially enjoy nature by birding, hiking, and camping.

This year I am part of the 6th Grade Team of Haas, Moore, & Starrs (HMS Team). I will be teaching 3 classes of 6th Grade Math each day while piloting the curriculum, Illustrative Mathematics by Kendall-Hunt, as well as, Connected Mathematics Project, which is the current approved curriculum.
- I will also be teaching 1 Social Studies with my Homeroom class as well as doing COHO activities.
-
Homework Expectations: I expect that students will finish assigned Math homework and/or any other assignments not completed during class time. Students should share their work in google classroom every day with all assignments.
-
Math Homework Expectations: Students are required to show all of the work for all of the problems done for each assignment, quiz, or test. Less than this will result in a lower grade per assignment or a missing assignment mark for that assignment if little to no work has been shown.
