I am so excited to be teaching my fourth year of 7th grade Science at Woodward Middle School! I grew up in Washington state, and I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Zoology. I then returned to UW to receive my teaching certificate in elementary education, with endorsements in general science and biology. My husband is a scientist, and we have 3 boys, a dog named Murphy, and a parrot named Hal.
We raised our 3 boys in Poulsbo, then moved to San Diego, CA for four years. We were then able to move to Bainbridge Island, and my family is thrilled to be back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! In the past I taught science and 6th grade in the North Kitsap School District, Robotics and Engineering to grades 2-12 at a private school in San Diego, and 4th-8th grade science for two years at a private school in La Jolla, CA.
I'm looking forward to another great year of teaching at Woodward Middle School!
