Per Washington State law, BISD will continue to send all staff a general notification of COVID-19 cases involving our schools and district facilities.
BISD will continue to keep the COVID CALENDAR updated with case information. You are encouraged to bookmark the website for easy access. (It is also linked on our homepage at www.bisd303.org.)
NEW!Effective on Monday, April 11, BISD will implement the DOH’s updated requirement regarding student notifications of possible COVID-19 exposure. We will no longer send general notifications to classrooms, athletic teams/activities or bus routes but instead, we will directly notify (via email) guardians of high-risk students regarding potential school-based exposures. High risk is defined as immunocompromised, medically fragile or otherwise having an increased risk for severe COVID-19.
With assistance from the school nurses, BISD has compiled a list of guardians who will receive these notifications when their students have been potentially exposed. If you have not informed your student’s school nurse about a health condition, please complete this form.
In addition, we recognize families or staff may have additional situations (such as younger siblings who are unable to be vaccinated or other family members with underlying health conditions) where it would be helpful to be notified of possible in-school exposures. Families and staff have the option of signing up for these more specific notifications by completing this form.
NEW! If staff or students test positive using an at-home test or are tested at a non-BISD testing site, please report the positive result via this form.
If your student is absent from school due to an illness, you can find out when your student can return to school by visiting www.bisd303.org/absences. Please report absences by entering them via Family Acess in Skyward.
Bainbridge Island School District is filled with amazing students and staff and now there is a way to recognize and celebrate the many individuals who make our district strong.
