What is a Math TOSA:

 TOSA stands for Teacher on Special Assignment.  A TOSA is a certified teacher who is a confidential supportive colleague.   

A math TOSA is also considered an instructional coach.  The TOSA is funded with Ttile 2a professional development funds. The TOSA does not impact class sizes. 

Benefits for teachers:

A Math TOSA is a resource to assist staff in meeting needs of students within the focus of the district and school improvement plans. 

Coaching   provides teachers with  in-depth opportunities to reflect about  instruction that result in increased student academic performance.
